If you press ‘Create Account,’ you will be able to create your basic account profile. If you are not signed into Facebook or Google on your device, you will be prompted to put in your login information, which will then open an account for you using that platform.

How can I edit my profile information?


From the main page of the application, tap the menu bar on the top left of the screen. This will bring you to the Application Main Menu. From there, the fourth option will be ‘Account.’ Tapping this will bring you to your profile. On the profile screen, tap the three dots on the top right. The third option is to edit your profile.




How can I change my profile picture?


From the main page of the application, tap the menu bar on the top left of the screen. This will bring you to the Application Main Menu. From there, the fourth option will be ‘Account.’ Tapping this will bring you to your profile. On the profile screen, under your profile photo, should be an option to edit your photo. Tapping this will prompt you to either take a new photo, or to upload one from your photo gallery.




How can I change my language?


From the main page of the application, tap the menu bar on the top left of the screen. This will bring you to the Application Main Menu. From there, the fourth option will be ‘Account.’ Tapping this will bring you to your profile. On the profile screen, tap the three dots on the top right, which will bring you to language settings.




How can I change my payment details?


From the main page of the application, tap the menu bar on the top left of the screen. This will bring you to the Application Main Menu. From there, the fourth option will be ‘Account.’ Tapping this will bring you to your profile. On the profile screen, tap the three dots on the top right, which will bring you to your payment details.




How can I delete my account?


From the main page of the application, tap the menu bar on the top left of the screen. This will bring you to the Application Main Menu. From there, the fourth option will be ‘Account.’ Tapping this will bring you to your profile. On the profile screen, tap the three dots on the top right, which will give you an option to delete your account. Please note that deleting your account is final, and the information and login cannot be recovered.




Where can I find the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy?


From the main page of the application, tap the menu bar on the top left of the screen. This will bring you to the Application Main Menu. The second-to-last option on the menu is to see the Terms and Conditions. Tapping that will bring you to the internet to see the full Terms and Conditions. The other policies are available on our website at Jstay.com.




I forgot my password. How can I retrieve it?


On the sign-in page, tap forgot password. The application will them prompt you to enter your email address. You will then receive an email with a link to reset your password.




Help! I don’t know how to….


From the main page of the application, tap the menu bar on the top left of the screen. This will bring you to the Application Main Menu. One of the options is the FAQ, or Frequently Asked Questions. How can I change my Kashrut level?


From the main page of the application, tap the menu bar on the top left of the screen. This will bring you to the Application Main Menu. From there, the fourth option will be ‘Account.’ Tapping this will bring you to your profile. On the profile screen, tap the three dots on the top right, and choose ‘Edit Profile.’ You can now edit all your profile details, including your Kashrut level.




How do I log out of the application?


From the main page of the application, tap the menu bar on the top left of the screen. This will bring you to the Application Main Menu. From there, the final option will be ‘Log Out.’ Please note that logging out of the application is not necessary on a regular basis, and will prevent you from seamlessly opening your Jstay account whenever you open the application.




I have not received my verification email


If you have signed up but have not recieved your verification email please check your junk or spam folder, select NOT SPAM and it should then show up in your inbox.




How can I change my password?


When logged into the app, on the home page, tap account on the footer bar. From the ‘My Profile’ screen, tap the three dots on the top right, which will give you an option to change your password.




How do I get to the home screen?


From any page in the app, tap the Jstay logo in the top right corner to go back to the home screen.




How can I see details about my upcoming and past stays?


On the main page, tap ‘My Trips’ on the footer bar. This will take you to a list of all past trips, confirmed upcoming trips, and stays you’ve requested to book.




How do I search for specifics when looking to book a stay?


On the main application page, in the search bar, choose the search filters (located in the location search box). Once on the ‘Search Filters’ page, type in the area that you’re looking to search in, choose check-in and check-out dates, and select how many guests (adults and children) will be traveling. Then, add in any additional amenities or specifics you’d want in your stay. When you have finished, tap ‘Search’ at the bottom of the page. The application will search for and generate a list of all available properties that can accommodate your party.




How do I search for a stay?


On the main application page, the top section is the stay search bar. Type in the area that you’re looking to search in, choose check-in and check-out dates, and select how many guests (adults and children) will be traveling. Then, tap ‘Search’. The application will search for and generate a list of all available properties that can accommodate your party.




How can I find available stays near me?


On the main page of the application, under the search bar, is a list of ‘Nearby Stays’. If the application is not generating nearby stays, tap the box under the header to allow the app to see your location. After you have done so, assuming that there are stays available near you, the application should automatically show them to you.




How do I check in?


On the main page, tap ‘My Trips’ on the footer bar. This will take you to a list of all upcoming trips. Tap the stay that you’d like to check in to, and at the bottom of the page you should have an option to ‘Check In’. Please note that this button will only be available on the day of arrival.




How do I review my stay?


On the main page, tap ‘My Trips’ on the footer bar. This will take you to a list of all past trips. Select the stay that you would like to review, and tap ‘Leave a Review,’ then after you have typed your review, choose ‘Submit Review’ at the bottom of the page. You will have 10 days after check out to edit your review, which can be done by going back to the past trip and choosing ‘Edit my Review’.




How do I contact the Host?


On the main page, tap ‘My Trips’ on the footer bar. This will take you to a list of all upcoming trips. Upon choosing the booking, you can choose ‘Message Host.’ After you have begun a conversation with them, you can find the messages, and discuss more, by tapping ‘Messages’ in the footer bar on the home page.




How do I edit my booking?


On the main page, tap ‘My Trips’ on the footer bar. This will take you to a list of all upcoming trips. Tap the stay that you’d like to edit your booking details for, and at the bottom of the page you should have an option to ‘Edit My Booking’. You will be able to change booking dates, and add or subtract travelers. After making your changes, be sure to tap ‘Request Changes’ to send them to the Host for approval.




How do I cancel my booking?


On the main page, tap ‘My Trips’ on the footer bar. This will take you to a list of all upcoming trips. Tap the stay that you’d like to edit your booking details for, and at the bottom of the page you should have an option to ‘Edit My Booking’. You will be able to ‘Cancel Booking’ at the bottom of the page.




How can I see my notifications in the app?


On the home page, tap the bell in the top right corner. This will bring you to a list of all application notifications, and you can expand the notifications by tapping them as well.




How do I find stays with map view?


On the home page, tap ‘Find Stays with Map View’. Doing so will take you to a live map, where you can see all available stays in that shown area. You can click on each stay pin to see more details about the stay.
